Writing Assignment: On The Beach

There's something about summers at the beach that create an air of romance, adventure, or mystery. The sea can be quite an interesting backdrop for one of your stories. Let's try it...

This month's exercise is a story that you set at the beach...but all of the details are up to you.

For instance, is it a romantic story set on the beach in Hawaii? Or perhaps a mystery, set on a secluded beach in Spain? What about a suspense thriller, set back in the 1700s, complete with pirates on their hidden beach hideaway in the Caribbean?

You create the setting, the time stamp, and colorful characters. The one thing that all Big Brain Club stories will have in common this month is sand, and lots of it!

Hmm...will the sand somehow be an important element in your story?
