Thanks to Chuck Sambuchino, who writes a terrific blog for writers and agents. He posted an article of mine that spotlights some of the things that authors must do to enhance their value for readers.
If you're interested in a writing career, it's good to know some of this stuff up front. This will take you right to Chuck's blog, and you can read all about it.
The timing couldn't be better. I'll be speaking this Thursday, March 24th, at Author U in the Denver area, on a very similar topic. I'd love to see you there, and this will take you to a page to sign up.
Feel free to post your own comments and suggestions right here.

I enjoyed and was inspired by your article in Chuck Sambuchino's blog, Guide to Literary Agents, because it called out to us writers to be forward-thinking. There is "more" to consider than just writing a book. Even more than creating a website or a blog. It takes a lot of thought and planning to design value-added "supplemental tools" to one day present a potential agent and publisher, I agree. I am editing my first novel YA novel, which is set in St. Augustine, Florida (our nation's oldest city). While writing the book, I also wrote up marketing ideas to appeal to a multiple markets. I have also thought about other "supplemental tools." Ultimately, I would love to create a foundation that could possibly come out of the planned trilogy. The Big Brain Club, your foundation, is an awesome inspiration. It's one thing to write books. It's another to leave a legacy. Thanks for the encouraging article.
