Dom Testa Bio

Many people find that they have more than one passion in this world, and the challenge is to feed all of them.

Dom Testa has known since his teen years that he wanted a career in radio, and as a 16-year-old he walked into his first radio station and secured a job. Now, thirty years later, he’s still walking into a studio every weekday morning.

As co-host of the Dom and Jane Morning Show in Denver, he brings fun and laughter to many thousands of people each day. The show has twice been named “Best Morning Radio Show in Colorado” by the Colorado Association of Broadcasters, and 5280 Magazine honored Dom and Jane as the best radio broadcasters in the state. Ratings support those awards, with the Dom and Jane Show consistently at the top of the heap in a very competitive market.

Writing has also called to Dom since childhood. For years he churned out short fiction, much of it with a flavor of mystery and suspense. He also tapped into his sense of humor in essays and articles, often poking fun at himself to illustrate how bizarre the world can be.

When he began visiting classrooms more than fifteen years ago to share his love of reading and writing, it only seemed natural to funnel his writing talents toward Young Adult fiction. It has paid off remarkably. The Galahad series has quickly become a smash hit, winning numerous awards, including “Best Young Adult Book” at the EVVY Awards and an International Grand Prize from Writer’s Digest Magazine, a first for a Colorado author.

Dom now juggles three passions: Radio, writing, and speaking. He regularly visits schools and libraries, hosting workshops that encourage students to find their own creative spark. He also speaks to adult organizations about education, literacy, and helping young people overcome peer pressure to dumb down. In 2004 he founded The Big Brain Club, which reaches students and teachers around the world.
